Development Track

Analytic Development Cohort

Customized support for government agency teams ready to co-develop responsive analytic tools from integrated early childhood data — using open-source technologies and peer learning across states.

2027 Cohort — Application deadline: October 2, 2026

Who has recently participated?

"I like being part of the cohort. It's helped to engage some key folks in our state in a different way and love hearing from other states about their issues."

Ana Hicks, Policy Director, Human Services, Governor's Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, Maine

This cohort is right for your agency if:

You have integrated early childhood data across at least two agency or program sources

You have specific policy or program questions you need integrated data to help answer

You want customized analytic support alongside structured peer learning across agencies

You are ready to build and deploy analytic tools within your agency during the cohort period

What to Expect

A high-level overview.

States that complete the Analytic Development Cohort will walk away with analytic tools built around their state's own data and policy priorities — tools that are ready to support the decision-making happening in their state. Participants leave with the capacity to sustain and extend that analytic work over time.

What You'll Get

  • Co-developed analytic tools built around your agency's specific policy priorities and integrated data assets
  • Customized coaching from analytic, data science, and technical specialists throughout the cohort
  • Cross-agency peer cohort structured for shared methodological learning using open-source technologies
  • Asynchronous self-study modules accessible to all team members at varying experience levels
  • Coaching sessions and onsite implementation support to drive dashboard deployment
